The Science Behind Fluffy and Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds Gold Yukon Potatoes peeled and cut into chunks

  • 4 Garlic Cloves

  • 1 Tablespoon of butter

  • 1 Egg Free Range Yolk

  • Dash of Milk

  • ½ cup Vegetable broth

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Fine Chopped Chives to Garnish

Directions

  • Boil a large pot of salted water, add potatoes and garlic, and cover, cook for 16-20 min until potatoes are tender.
  • Drain and add milk, butter, and vegetable broth in a mixing bowl and mash with electric beaters or masher. Let cool down slightly then beat Egg Yolk in a small cup, (save the egg white for breakfast) pour onto the mixture, and mix very quickly avoiding the yolk from hardening.

  • FOR AN EXTRA REFRESHING TASTE YOU CAN ALSO ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF GROUND DRIED MINT LEAVES
